Segerstrom Concert Hall

Hello hello everyone,

Recently I went to Segerstrom Concert Hall next to South Coast Plaza for a performance with the Fountain Valley High School choir program. Every 4 years, the choir at Fountain Valley High School puts on a huge production at the Segerstrom Concert Hall, with hundreds of singers and a 55 piece professional orchestra. Being on stage was mind-blowing. The huge vaulted ceilings, giant auditorium, and massive stage set this venue apart from any other place my choir has performed at. I could see the hundreds of people eagerly anticipating our performance, and for the first time, while I was on the stage, I realized how incredibly lucky I was to be able to stand on this stage and sing in such a professional setting.

Months of planning and practice had gone into creating this concert, and to see it all come to fruition was one of the greatest moments of my musical career. The countless hours put in after school, and even weekend rehearsals were worth every minute. All the lights, Christmas decorations, and the gigantic organ in the back set the mood for a great concert.

The concert hall has also been the home to many other famous performers like the London Symphony Orchestra and The Tenors, an up-and-coming musical group that has performed with megastars like Celine Dion, Paul McCartney, and Sting. The Segerstrom Concert Hall is also across the street from South Coast Plaza, making it a convenient destination for dinner and show dates. Most of their music is usually classical, but I can assure you, you won’t be disappointed in the performance.
